I've never been so bored with a GW event. If this event was NOT planned by the folks that created Chapter 2, then this post is basically useless.

I loved everything about chapter 1...the professions, skills, scenery, missions, quests, and especially the updates/festivals etc.

Then chapter 2 comes along, and not only was it pretty disappointing and boring, but now even the chapter 2 festival is (so far) nothing more than 2 chance games, whack a worm, and dodgeball. I'm not going to turn this into an argument where people are going to say "O0mg factions is teh beste game evar!!", just my opinion.

I think once chapter 3 comes out (Which, since it is created by the chapter 1 team, should be awesome), gw should take a year off. Have both teams collectively work on what the fanbase really wants - storage, fixing skills, maybe putting real time environments, better AI, reconnects, etc. I was perfectly happy playing chapter 1 for almost a full year before i got factions, so I think with 3 chapters to play with, we should have plenty to do again. And then by the time chapter 4 is in the making, the chapter 1 team can work on that...because after this festival, I am seriously doubting the chapter 2 team.

The Great Al, thatis all your opinion, so you are entitled to it. But like every game, problems arise, nothing ever how everyone wants it to be. You live with it... IT IS JUST A GAME!

Personally, my opinion that is, Chapter Two is well done and I can't wait till Chapter Three or the next expansion. Each update the gaeme just gets better and better.

50 freaking orbs...thats it. No chests, decent drops, nothing. Just spent over an hour beating it and got 50 orbs.....

Some guildies and I just beat Rujiyo's mission. Here are details ...

WARNING - SPOILERS

We took one healer, one tank, and 2 b/p

You're fighting the same sort of lvl 28 stuff seen in Tombs, warriors (grasps), fire eles, mesmers, mostly - although there were a few necros and some stationary wurms (thankfully stationary - they hit hard.) A few of the eles we faced were most definitely trying to kite us somewhere. We didn't go see into what.

At the end, after turning the last rift, it gives a 15 sec. countdown to next mission, but deposits you back in Shing Jea, not a new mission. Upon arrival, the captain still has the same mission for you to do over, nothing new as far as I can tell.

Your reward for all this? There's another 50 orbs in your inventory, that's all.

I hope the next mission involves smacking Rujiyo upside the head a few times.

One guy got a gold drop, but nothing we got was super.

Really, unless you're short 50 orbs for some reason, the only worthy thing here is a good challenge for you and three friends.

I hope there's more to this later.

I have to admit, not telling you a reward at the start when you accept the quest and 50 orbs being the reward, all seems a bit... well like a joke? I think it probably is, Anet having a laugh

You have to have a laugh everynow and again though right? Anyway's t the quote, so you think they'll add another mission at the end of this one? If they do does that mean we'll have to complete it AGAIN to reach it?

God i hope not, it was a fluke the first time tbh

What is a b/p? Sry if i sound dumb or somthin, but i have no clue wat that would be. Also, did anyone else beat this with any other types of characters?

I would like to do this incredibly hard mission just because i HIGHLY doubt that the only reward is 50 orbs. There has to be some extra thing to it. Just like it said in another post, the GW site says that the emperor will come and reward TRUE HEROS of cantha. I think maybe if we do this quest we will get somthin special on the last day or somethin......but there is no way to find out untill the last day...

I can always be hopefull though.

Plus I like this mission. I think it is hard, yet fun in a odd, sorta twisted way.

O and has anyone accually got ectos from this or is it just an uncomfirmed thing from guild wiki? And y are people saying somehing about a 25% chance and ectos and this quest, all in the same sentence? (I know I've either seen someone say this in a thread here in guru, or in game, not sure which) Is it a 25% chance of gettin ectos instead of orbs or somethin? I highly doubt it would be a 25% chance of enemies dropin it... I got to 3 rifts left (if you're wondering, i got that far with a tank, me (monk), an ele, and a summoning rit), and no one in my group got any ecto drops... It would be great if someone can clear me up on this 25% thing.

b/p = Barrage ranger with pet.
>we had Barrage, charm + Comfort Animal, Favourable winds (other takes winnowing), Dust trap (other takes Throw dirt), Troll, rebirth and savage shot for those Meteor storms.

Basically the stereotype barrage team with no order necro and less b/p's, gunna try and do it using my mesmer next or my monk but not in a b/p team.

I did the mission a second time (on my ranger), MM, Healer and 2x b/p and we flew through it.

Not sure on the ecto drops in there although a few have said they have had one in Shing Jea (lies or not, I haven't seen one drop at all and nor have my friends so if they do its easier in UW) and i doubt it would be a single ecto reward instead of orbs, it seems unlikely.

In regards to my last post...

Finishing the mission and talking to Captain Rujiyo again you'll notice it changes, same mission, but new location. It's now Jaya Bluffs. Found that out the hard way myself

I'll see if i can get a map up of each area if i can.

(or just the Jaya Bluffs one now it seems)

Note: I have yet to do second mission in Jaya so not sure on rewards yet.

ok i may very well be the only person still up to notice this but captain rujiyo has a new mission and you cant even do the one at haiju lagoon any more and since i never finished the one at haiju lagoon i gave up on finishing these nightmare-ish missions

Either the mission in Jaya Bluffs is account based or you're right, I just took my warrior and mesmer there... Both say Jaya Bluffs now.

At first i thought it was to stop people going to the harbour and getting 6 members and running but I always thought you couldn't do that anyways as you get teleported in, seems iw as right in the first place...

I have no idea why they changed it or when they changed it... I haven't seen a new build since i logged on and I completed it in the lagoon during this login session. They couldn't have just moved a who mission to a new area without a new build being d/l's could they?
